THE AGE OF INNOCENCE Pop-Up Book Club Princeton
Tuesday, August 28, 2018
Labyrinth Books, Princeton
6 - 8:00pm
In advance of the opening of McCarter Theatre Center’s production of Edith Wharton’s THE AGE OF INNOCENCE, adapted by Douglas McGrath, McCarter will be partnering with local booksellers and libraries to offer pop-up book club events. These will be great opportunities to meet and engage with the community of readers in both Princeton and Trenton, to learn a bit about Edith Wharton’s life and career, and to discuss the reader’s experience of her remarkable Pulitzer Prize-winning novel before seeing it brought to life on stage.
This Pop-Up Book Club event at Labyrinth Books in Princeton, will feature Edith Wharton scholar Prof. Meredith L. Goldsmith of Ursinus College, who will add to our appreciation of Wharton’s literary craft, and our understanding of the historical contexts of both the period it was written in and the period upon which it reflects.
Copies of Edith Wharton's THE AGE OF INNOCENCE can be purchased from Labyrinth Books either in person or online at http://www.labyrinthbooks.com/stores_pr.aspx
